Your Tax Dollars and the Global Warming Hoax

In a previous Hub I wrote about how stunned I am that anyone would believe in Global Warming any longer. Oh – ahem ---- excuse me – they’re calling it “Climate Change” these days.

Why did they change the name? Because Al Gore and his adherents predicted with absolute certainty, that the earth’s temperature was rising. In his movie “An Inconvenient Truth” apparently polar bears were dying. Ice caps were melting and well…essentially…the Great Green Apocalypse was imminent. There was no arguing with these people. It was as factual to them as is the “Bush (and now Palin) Derangement Syndrome.”

The real joke is (although the joke is at taxpayer expense) the earth’s climate DOES change and has so since man has recorded these things. The environmental movement is the hugest hoax ever perpetuated on the world aside from the need for a U.N. and all it entails.

We have subsequently discovered the scientist’s findings, upon which Mr. Gore and his cult followers based all of their dire predictions on - were lying. Think Climategate.

These so-called environmental scientists found out (who knew?) that the earth’s temperature was actually cooling, not warming, so they had to scramble around to change it the name from Global Catastrophic Warming to “Climate Change.”

Okey Dokey!

If you buy that, I have this bridge in Brooklyn I’d love to sell you at a bargain basement price…

Anyway, I digress…

This is an issue, especially with this President, that we need to stay on top of if we ever want to gut the deficit looming over our collective U.S. heads. All of your money that goes into these cock-a-maime-ie programs could be saved if we collectively demand it from our lawmakers. The President calls it “investing” in “Green jobs.” I call it taking tax dollars and throwing it down a big black hole.

For example, did you know your tax dollars—in the billions—went to environmental law firms?

This of course doesn’t include the EPA. How much does this overreaching, overbloated government bureaucracy cost taxpayers?

How much does the Global Change Research Information Office (GCRIO) cost us? If you can find out – let me know. While there was a wealth of information about what they do on their website, I couldn’t find out what it costs the taxpayers to do what is they supposedly do.

I do know that the EPA comes up with brilliant ideas like taxpayers paying about $200 per every cow and pig as a “fine” if you will, for cow and pig flatulence. I’m not making this up.

Just your tax dollars at work here folks.

We have a whole huge department in our federal government called “Climate Change.” Within this department, we have a taxpayer-funded agency that describes itself as:

[T]he focal point within the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the development, coordination, and implementation of DOE-related aspects of climate change technical programs, policies, and initiatives.

Were you aware that this is just a tent, as it were, for multiple other federally funded “green” agencies? Federal agencies like, The U.S. Climate Change Technology Program (CCTP) or The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The EERE “invests” your tax dollars:

…in clean energy technologies that strengthen the economy, protect the environment, and reduce dependence on foreign oil.

The number of these agencies on the Energy.gov page is legion. The amount of tax dollars spent on these and other programs are a big question mark. No matter how hard I looked, I couldn’t find one bit of information about how much all of these agencies cost us taxpayers. Mr. Obama likes to call it an “investment” but when we look at the definition of that word that’s not at all what it is.

I prefer the more descriptive term “stealing”. I haven’t seen the results of any federal government agency, program or pork barrel initiative ever make money for my benefit or for the benefit of any taxpayer.

I leave you with this as this Hub can’t possibly be a comprehensive accounting of all that is spent on environmental pet projects and their associated agencies.

There are federal grants given to environmental activists. 

YOUR tax dollars supports these grants or in the least subsidizes these green organizations that offer grants. 

Isn’t that just special? How many more “grants” for “green initiatives” are using your tax dollars? I’m just sayin’…

You want more jobs? You want to reduce our deficit? Ask our lawmakers to start with the EPA and clearing out all of the hokey and debunked taxpayer paid green energy programs that are in our Federal Government. Start by simply closing down and firing every one of these overpaid useless workers. Then gut the grants that tax dollars pay for. I’m betting we’d see at least a trillion dollars shaved off of the deficit! If I were a betting woman…
