While Japan Suffers Obama Plays Golf

Japan digs out from near annihilation, Libyian Rebels are losing the fight and Mr. Obama takes to the golf course.

I’m curious to know what goes on in the mind of a man who is the President of one of the most powerful nations in the world (I say “one of the most” because Mr. Obama has singlehandedly diminished our status in that regard) when he plays golf in the aftermath of Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami.
Libyan rebels are being slaughtered in the streets while the administration
sends mixed signals all culminating in gross inaction.
What is President Obama thinking?
He’s such a funny guy as he quipped to reporters on the golf course, “I'm not spending time on the golf course. I'm investing time in the golf course."
What a hoot that Barack is!
We all know it’s not as if Mr. Obama never gets a chance to get out on the links. By April of 2009 Mr. Obama had already beaten the number of golf breaks of George Bush by eight. He didn’t attend the funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski, but on the same day as the funeral he managed to show up on the golf course.
At a point, George W. Bush said during his Presidency that he decided he wouldn’t play golf any longer
while we were at war, he didn’t want to send the wrong message.
There’s a man of great moral character. There's a man who isn't thinking only of himself, who has compassion, wisdom and judgment.
I do understand President Obama didn’t just play golf while Libyians were being mowed down by Gadhafi forces and Japan’s nuclear reactors were in meltdown. He was, after all, very concentrated on picking the NCAA picks as well.
Does the term “Let them eat cake” come to mind as often as it does for me with regard to Mr. and Mrs. Obama?
I’m not the first to say this, but I believe Mr. Obama is the definition of
a narcissist.

I think that just about fits Mr. Obama to a tee. Pun intended.
The President of the Media Research Council said, "If George Bush reacted this way during an international catastrophe -- wholly irrelevant radio addresses, golf outing for the 61st time, the left-wing media would require medically induced sedation to keep them in check."
He’s absolutely right.
The voice of the AFLAC Goose was silenced (he was fired) when he inappropriately cracked jokes about Japan’s woes. I will grant you, it’s not precisely the same thing, but isn’t it similar? At the very least the AFLAC goose-voice-guy could claim he didn’t really believe anyone would be reading his Tweets.
Can the President claim no one would be watching him or listening to him ?
Can’t we fire this man yet?
I’m highly embarrassed this man is our President. He has no honor, he has no character and he should be very ashamed of himself. I know many of us are ashamed for him as our hearts go out to the people of Japan and the freedom fighters in Lybia.
Remember 2012. Our work is far, far from over!

I heard about him on the golf course the other day while all of this was going on. And then to go on-air and announce his NCAA picks BEFORE he ever made a public statement about Japan. It's sickening. And you're so right, our work is far from over. It's going to be an uphill battle due to the illusions some are under and the apathy of others. It definitely seems as if the world is crumbling and all our leader cares to do is prance about on a golf course! Maybe if we all played a card from his deck and pretended nothing was wrong...?
rkhyclak - you are definitely correct. It's actually quite heartbreaking. We need leadership - but he's incapable. I have said this before but there is no doubt he is in WAY WAY over his head. But what I don't get is - why doesn't he realize that acting aloof and STUPIDLY UNINVOLVED isn't the answer?! And liberals think he's such a genius...

cjv123, I don't think that you were around when we had World War II, and our solders died from it by the thousands. We were in war with Japan, and it was awful. My parents were upset for years. Obama was born in Hawaii and grew up with Japanese, surely he knew them. I know that he knew about Pearl Harbor, when they bombed us!

Riddle me this, CJ, why should any of us who knew about OBumma the first "slack ptesident". because that is what he is he was all over bush about waiting 6 minutes on 9/11- what would Barry have done- gave a speech denouncing al-Quada and saying this is a "grave event by non mainstream muslim extremists" and that we would have to check with the UN before we would have done something-anything???

You know Tom - I just late last night started W's biography. I'm not much into before I know - this is a man of integrity. I knew this quite well before even opening his book - but reading his words just confirms it once again.
Compare and contrast this man - this President to our current mistake holding the office and there IS no comparison. Obama - a man of no integrity, no character, a narcissistic personality disorder and actually, not nearly as smart as he thinks he is and as he manages to fool some into thinking he is.
A total recipe for disaster. Sadly - it's the American people who will have to suffer and are suffering for this inept, ruthless, selfish President. VERY sad - and I continually struggle with wanting to slap anyone who voted for him.

I would like to hear from the loyal left that voted for Obama, and have them educate the rest of us why they voted for him, in light of his first two years in the presidency.
And more importantly are they going to do it again in 2012.

An interesting thing is that since Senator Loudmouth Joe biden has been VP he has been as quiet as a church mouse for long periods of time.

I doubt she'll try OpinionDuck - I just don't see that happening. She knows it would already fracture a fractured Democratic party - so for that reason alone I think she'll set aside her aspirations. God forbid she ends up President anyway. That's all we'd need.
And I agree - where are all the liberals who elected this monstrosity?? I just pray they stay home and never vote again - they must not put our country through this again.
