Or as I sometimes call it: The Religion of Climate Science

It is fascinating to me how the climate people still cling to their notion of what has now been altogether debunked – global warming.

It is like a religion because they must accept on faith, without solid scientific proof, that what they believe about global warming is true.

These are (generally) the same type of people who laugh at God-fearing people.

The Wall Street Journal had an opinion piece called “A Climate Absolution?” They included the question mark. The idea is that an “independent” group of climate scientists investigated what happened with “Climategate”. They are the IPCC or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The joke of the matter is – they reached some conclusions and now the United Nations Foundation and the Natural Resources Defense Council are deluging The Wall Street Journal to retract “those bogus scandals” they previously reported, all based on the IPCC findings.

The Wall Street Journal could not do what the UN Foundation and the Natural Resources Defense Council in essence demanded they do.

In fact, the WSJ proved – quite handily, that the IPCC had an agenda going into this investigation. Something the WSJ finding ultimately reflects: “It’s never hard to convince yourself of what you’re already disposed to believe.”

Apparently the only “bogus” thing was the IPCC findings not the reporting by The Wall Street Journal . I applaud them for continuing to take a stand for the truth.

The Wall Street Journal has always been a top of the line and credible newspaper. Now the United Nations wants to try to strike them down ? To bad the words out ! The Bottom line is there are alot of people invluding Al Gore and Maurice Strong ( the most powerful guy you have never heard of ) as well as the Chicago Climate Exchange who want to make a ton of money off these carbon credits. So in summation it is not about the planet, its about the money !

It is pretty clear that the Inconvient Truth was an advertising campaign because the companies and organizations were alredy in place to make a profit was the legislation was backed by the public to sell "Green." There are some things we should be concerned with, like garbage pollution, or being nice to your neighbors, or keeping food healthy, or supporting business in your local community, and city (same part as being nice to your neighbors). For the most part, those things are still free.

To me global warming is like discovering the world is round. It just is. The planet warms, the planet cools, it just does.

It would cost way too much and take way too much time to properly conduct research to scientists who only get paid if they get the results "they" want. Never mind that it will cost far more if cap'n'crunch...uh, trade...is enacted. "They" just want socialism by any name at any cost.

Great hub. I remember, back in my day, the big fear was global cooling. This was in the seventies, and the fear they presented to young heads full of mush, was that our behavior, unchecked, would bring about the next devastating ice age. Good thing we weren't around to be blamed for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Namaste.

Global warming they say? The earth is literally a degree cooler than in the 16th century. How many factories did the Ottoman Empire have back then!
