One Nation II

So who am I? The Christian Police? What gives me the right to stand up to a false Christian Church? Why does it matter?

It matters because there are standards. As a Christian, I believe in the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit as have all true Christians for over two thousand years. I know, I absolutely know, that the Bible was written by Holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. I know that it is the inerrant Word of the Lord God most high.

The Mormon Church has blasphemed my faith. They call themselves Christians, yet they reject the Holy Trinity – they reject the God of the Bible. They reject all the core fundamental beliefs of Orthodox Historical Christianity.

They claim the Bible is missing pieces and corrupt and thus another Testament is needed and was given by Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon.

They believe that Jesus was the brother of Satan and a god in progress.

All Mormons believe they too are gods in progress, and hope to achieve Mormon high heaven when they die by being a good Mormon. IF they are a good Mormon, tithe 10% of their income, marry a Mormon in the Mormon temple ceremony (which they can not do unless they tithe 10% of their income), when they die, they will become gods of a planet just like earth.

There are other numerous blasphemous teachings by the LDS Church. I will not, I can not help a painter promote his agenda – recruit people into the Mormon Church and to pay 10% of whatever he makes to the Mormon Church.

I won’t compromise my faith because a painting is “pretty.”

Oh – did I mention the Book of Mormon teaches that anyone with black skin is a descendant of a tribe cursed by God? The curse is proven by their dark skin. So on top of everything else, this church teaches racism.

When they say that they are a Christian Church I say “NO THEY ARE NOT!” Christians do NOT believe the garbage that this church teaches! If they want to believe in garbage, have at it! But DON'T CALL YOURSELF CHRISTIAN WHEN YOU DO IT AND EXPECT ME TO REMAIN SILENT.

PLEASE, do not blaspheme my God, the Bible, my faith and expect me to just say, “No offense – but I think God wouldn’t care that a Mormon painted that painting.” Actually – I think God WOULD be offended that in the painting, there are characters holding Mormon books in their arms.

I don't want to compromise my faith which just so happens to be my life.

But there is a trend in this country. This is the trend. “Oh it was just a ‘private’ matter, it never should have become public."

The President of the United States, as governor, sexually assaulted and in one case we know of, raped women who worked for him. This “private” affair Mr. Clinton had was exposed (pun intended) because a woman who used to work for Mr. Clinton as governor of Arkansas didn’t play the sex game and therefore didn’t advance in her job as other women who played did. They investigated and low and behold – the governor was still up to his old tricks as President. An intern was just hired by Revlon to a very high speed position thanks to the cigars she shared with Bill Clinton...

This trend "Aw shucks, it isn't that bad" trend continued with more excuses until the Clintons were actually able to reinvent themselves and Mrs. Clinton was close to becoming the first woman president. What the heck was up with that?!

We had more of this trend continue. This compromising of our values and morals and literally, THE CONSTITUTION – when the public elected not only our first black President, but the first “American Idol” President. A great performer with zero substance. I’m referring of course to Mr. Obama.

When Mr. Obama became the new Messiah, I actually had Christians tell me they would vote for him. One Christian said, “I have a problem with the Republicans because they do so little for the poor."

Oh really? My answer to her was (remembering this is one Christian to another), “So tell me where in the Bible does it say we are to seek the kingdom of our government for our sustenance? Chapter and verse please. Where does it tell us anywhere in the Bible that we should depend upon whatever government is in power for our income and care?

Didn’t get an answer to that.

I had another Christian argue with me about President Obama when I sent him a link to Mr. Obama’s church of choice for over 20 years. Talk about racist – only in this case – it was against Jews. He refused to answer to the link I sent him. He only countered to my charge that Mr. Obama had the blood of the unborn on his hands as a Senator due to his blocking laws in Illinois that would allow immediate care given to a baby born alive from a botched abortion.

He is literally responsible for infanticide. The answer from this other so-called Christian? “We all sin.”

Oh – I see – you’re going to vote for a man who goes to an openly anti-Semitic church and who blocked legislation that would save babies born alive from abortions because “we all sin?” You will cast your vote for this man because he’s black (this man had mixed race children)? That trumps stopping people from throwing babies on garbage heaps in hospitals to die a slow, cold death? Yeah - I see that logic...

I had another “Christian” – I’m using the term loosely here – say that their daughter voted for Mr. Obama and in answer to my groan she immediately added, “She’s pro-life though.”

OH – so SAYING she’s pro-life makes it OK when she votes for a baby murderer? OK – I see now!

It is this trend – this slippery slope – that has gotten us into this current severely damaging administration.

It matters that Christians are passing around a very nice painting – there is no denying the talent of the painter – in essence – encouraging others to buy his prints and canvases. It matters when the painter is a Mormon. Pretty paintings about our country can not excuse compromising Christian doctrine and principles. This country is great – at least it once was before this current administration. But it is One Nation UNDER God – not OVER God. Our nation isn’t more important than God and His Holy Living Word.

Being loyal to a political party is NO excuse for excusing despicable behavior – i.e. being a Democrat and accepting Bill Clinton’s behavior, or voting for an inexperienced, shallow, dangerously leftist, socialist "American Idol" type of guy like Mr. Obama. I get that he’s dashing. I saw the billboard of him in that coat. He looks fantastic! Rock Star material to be sure! A shiver almost ran up my leg...

KIDDING!

But seriously – I GET that he’s COOL. But he’s merely a façade of coolness. He can’t speak without a teleprompter and he’s not nearly as intelligent as the lame stream media would have us believe. He’s proved that quite distinctly in his first year as President. Americans compromised their very souls to elect a puppet for George Soros and the Unions! Let's STOP that trend NOW!

These trends are hurting us personally and now they’re crippling our nation.

Start with something simple – if you’re a Christian, stop passing around that stupid danged painting!

If you’re an American – educate yourselves before voting and DON’T vote for a candidate simply because they belong to the party you’re registered with. And stop making excuses for BAD BEHAVIOR!

Another great Hub. Good job. I absolutely loved this response: "So tell me where in the Bible does it say we are to seek the kingdom of our government for our sustenance? Chapter and verse please."

Be encouraged.

cjv, Sorry you have had bad experiences with Mormons, I am a Mormon, and I hope I have never offended you and apologize if in anyway I have offended you. Mormons are not animals, but you do get some, just as any other religions, that do not socialize as well as they should and go overboard. Bashing and argueing is not of God, and they should not do it. They should present, and allow people to accept or not accept. No one can convince another about anything religious.

Also, I can go into any religion and write idiosyncrasies and weird things about any of them. Weird put true.

Have a good day, and take care.

Keep on hubbing!

Bless your heart Eovery - I actually don't have a beef with LDS faithful - I have a beef with the doctrine - and then those who attack someone for defending our faith. You have ALWAYS been nothing but polite and kind to me - I'm so sorry if I have offended you. For years I have dealt with very aggressive LDS - however - you are absolutely right - your religion is made up of millions of LDS - compared to the entire body of LDS - just because some act aggressive and unkind that does not make the sum of the whole.

I can be very, very blunt sometimes. It's my way. I'm sorry if I've hurt you or upset you. I now feel very sorry about my tone of these "One Nation" Hubs because of you. You are very sweet and you write GREAT Hubs as a matter of fact.

And frankly - even if Mitt Romney wasn't LDS - I would never vote for him regardless. He lied to get himself elected as governor of Mass pretending to be pro-homosexual marriage and pro-life. Then he went ahead and voted the opposite on every legislation. That's not right no matter what political party you're from! A lie is a lie! People in Mass voted on him based on the way he ran for the office - and he lied about what he intended to do once he got into office. Please email me eovery if you want to talk further - cjv123@comcast.net

I can be TOO blunt too often and I hope you can forgive me for saying things that have offended you. I'm very sorry. I could have written the things I wrote in a much kinder tone.

This is okay cjv123. I know you don't believe the same as we do, or you would be a Mormon. Religion is hard. I have neen on a mission, and now my sons have elected to go on missions, and I tell you, all we can do is present. We leave it to the Holy Ghost and the person to figure it out. You cannot convince any body about religion. I all can do is ask them to pray to God on that which is right, adn have him help you learn.

Thanks for your kind words. And have a good weekend.

Mitt is different. I have trouble with a few of his things, but he does have a great love for people. He visit our area several times in 2007 and 2008. He does have a great heart and really cares. He is also a very very smart person, but he does need to take a true stand on some items which he has played politics on in the past, and it is hurting him. I would suggest you get a chance to know him, and he actually is a very great guy. He just needs to not be afraid to say somethings and lay down his true believes.

Only troublw we have is Reid is Mormon too, but I do not know how strong or active he is. And i say any one who is religious and is pro-choice should be kicked out of their religion. When their leaders say this is the doctrine and they go against it, but I guess I should be glad that it is not my position to be his judge and jury on the issue.

Keep on hubbing!
