Mr. Obama Do you Think My Son Serving in Afghanistan is a Photo Op?

So you think the troops make a good photo op Mr. Obama? Oh I know, your defenders will say, “It was just a joke.” You, of all people on this planet should never joke about anything to do with our troops. When it comes from you, it’s not funny.

You know what Mr. Obama? You don’t joke about things like that for a myriad of reasons. One glaring reason is -- the troops believe you don’t give a flap about them! Yes, they're a pretty smart lot those crazy military folk! They pick up on these things pretty quick!

Those smiling faces behind you? They’re ORDERED to do that! I promise you their commanders had to look long and hard to find any troop even willing to stand behind you so they were probably forced to (now before any investigation ensues - harassing the military to save some face - asking for any "fishy emails" I have ZERO first-hand knowledge of this - it's just my very educated guess).BUT - they always volunteered when it was our former President George W. Bush because in stark contrast, they knew he loved them and supported them and worked on strategy every single week, several times a week with his Joint Chiefs of Staff. You? You meet ONE TIME with your military leaders – the Joint Chiefs of Staff since taking office. Seeing a pattern here?

You don’t make a joke when you stand there before any soldier while being the King of indecision about the very lives of these brave men and women. Remember that August thing? General McChrystal asking for more troops? What is it now? November? And what is it that we have heard from your lips Mr. Obama regarding this issue?

A great big box of nothing.

You think a joke about my son with his butt on the line in Afghanistan is joke? Do you think my daughter’s boyfriend she misses so much and worries about in Iraq is a joking matter? Do you think THOSE WHO DIED AND LOST BODY PARTS ARE FODDER FOR YOUR STUPID JOKES AT THEIR EXPENESE? You know for someone who is so cool, that was not cool at all!

What’s so funny about soldiers on the front line? I'm not finding the humor. Is it a laugh-a-minute with regard to my son’s Infantry unit, in the middle of nowhere, never knowing where the enemy is and how and when the enemy is plotting to kill them next? Since you appear to be utterly clueless, the answer is NOTHING IS FUNNY ABOUT THAT.

Just to make a joke, you use them. Are you honestly that out of touch? So out of touch that you didn’t realize you did that very thing when you made your idiotic JOKE?! You used the troops FOR A PHOTO OP when you told them they were a great photo op! The Lord knows any time you actually DO visit a troop unit, that alone should make headlines. It so rarely has happened since you took office! Apparently people balked at an earlier AFB trip to Dover suggesting you were using it as a “photo op.” Thus your little “joke”. Is it no wonder when you do actually step down from your holy throne, gracing the little masses (troops) that your motives would be criticized???

Maybe because that’s just exactly what it is! A photo op you…you…arrrrrggggggg!!! I SO want to use bad language, but as a Christian, I must refrain from cursing…I so want to give you the benefit of the doubt! You're the President of this country! I want you to suceed - I want you to take this world by storm, but the longer you are in office, the more I see merely a figure-head and that's heart-breaking.

In a video segment on Fox News this morning (not the video included here in this blog - I've used a different more pertinent one), I watched you carelessly and casually say almost as an afterthought, “We thank you all for your service.” Just after you made your “joke.” Wow – how sincere you sounded…Do you think your charisma is so devastating that the warriors in the U.S. Armed Services DON’T SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU?!

The only joke up there on that stage Mr. Obama was you and your administration and I count the days until we can elect a real Commander-in-Chief and a President who doesn’t speak continually with lying lips and who will show their care and concern for the tens of thousands they send out into harms way.We need a real man, someone to step up to the plate and to become a LEADER. Not a teleprompter clown who makes lame, inappropriate jokes..

I pray for you every single day, I truly pray for your personal safety and the safety of your entire family. It's getting more and more difficult every day because I'm getting so angry with you Mr. Obama. Your apathy shows in so many ways and when it is so apparent to the military, it hurts them - it hurts their morale and that costs lives.

I pray that news about your infantile, stupid, stupid joke doesn’t make it to my son’s unit in Afghanistan (the morale of the troops is rock bottom enough). But that doesn’t matter to you does it because the troops don’t matter, according to you, they’re just a joke and A PHOTO OP.
