Snow Jobs, Health Care and Cash for Clunkers

See this photo? It’s snow – and we here in Michigan know snow. This is the glorious view outside my front door, looking out over the Grand River when it’s snowing.

Not everyone, unfortunately, even in Michigan -- knows a snow job when they see one though. And that cost the taxpayers A LOT of money. One colossal snow job being foisted on the American public is this health care concoction the Obama administration is trying to stuff down our collective throats. Let’s see how this admin has done with other important things – like the economy and one of their government “fixes” the Cash for Clunkers program.

Cash for Clunkers was an idea born of genius. Yeah – and if you believe that – I’ve got some snow for sale here in Michigan I’d like to sell you…

As it turns out, according to The Wall Street Journal, "Cash for Clunkers" not only DIDN'T stimulate our economy - it COST the taxpayers approximately $2,000 per car!! That comes to 1.4 BILLION dollars this ridiculous idea implemented against the will of the American people COST THE TAXPAYERS. Worse yet, these “eco-friendly” cars that were bought to allegedly clean up our environment? It will cut our oil production, per year – oh about 0.2%

That means, my husband, who BUSTED HIS BEHIND in Iraq from July 2008-July 2009 paid for SOMEONE ELSE to buy A BRAND NEW CAR. My husband and I have ONE car. It’s paid for, and we can get by on using one car because we’re fortunate enough that he works so close to our home. But we paid for SOMEONE ELSE to buy their second or third or whatever NEW car! Why am I not getting the irony of this?

Plus ------- this means folks that those who still DO have a job, paid 1.4 BILLION dollars for SOMEONE ELSE to buy a car! Does anyone else see the bone headedness of this???

Worse – this not only didn’t help the car industry – it made it WORSE. There was a FALSE bump in sales for one month, the government had to hire a bunch of extra people to process these claims that the car dealers had to send in to get reimbursed for the “clunkers” – more tax payers dollars spent – AND it TOOK AWAY car sales FOR THE FUTURE. The car industry is worse now than it was BEFORE this brilliant idea took shape!

It’s snowing people – it’s snowing REALLY REALLY HARD. And while it’s snowing – these same dolts who came up with the BRILLIANT Cash for Clunkers program – are ramming through a healthcare bill that will force people to pay for health insurance, whether they want it or not – add more money to fund abortions, ration healthcare and healthcare procedures.

If you haven’t already – contact your Congressman or Congresswoman and let them know you don’t want this snow job. You don’t want ANY MORE snow jobs coming out of this administration and you want them to start listening to the citizens – namely YOU. Tell Mr. Obama that this full-court press for this health care debacle isn’t going to work for you. Tell them you KNOW that an administration that was CLUELESS about Cash for Clunkers most DEFINITLEY is going to be clueless as to how to pay for or even properly execute a wide-sweeping government run health care plan.

Do something folks because there are those who are predicting the fall of our country – literally. And this time, I believe these doomsdayers. Speak up before it’s too late.
